Board Game Design
To create a new board game and design all of components. The goal is to understand the purpose of the traditional board game and the visual details of a complete game.
Traditional board games invite interaction. The Door is an ice-breaking game, and the goal is to increase interaction through teamwork and to relieve personal burdens. This game is inspired by the sentence, “You never know what is behind the door.” Doors in this game represent our hearts. Opening each door means to open our hearts and welcome others to walk into our lives. Closing the door means to leave those prejudices of people outside the door. The project was created by using a lot of illustration and bright colors to highlight a playful and joyful environment. Each figure’s mission follows its own character. Through finishing the personal missions and team missions, players will have interactions with other players and perhaps will get closer to each other.
